Some one who loves 3D FPS wrote:It depends what kind of hardware it is and what apps you're running. Did I ever refer to dual CPUs? Or even dual core CPUs? In this matter? No.

That's something a bit different.
No it fucking doesn't stop trying to creep outta it.

2 graphics cards = less then 2 times the performance.

You'd be surprised to look at the scores and results of the actual benchmarks of nVidia's SLI / Alienware's ALX........the performance jump from a single graphics card is mind boggling.

SO CHILL.

Saying I've lost it seems to be your version of trying to "FUCKING CREEP OUTTA THIS".

What you're saying is having 2 graphics cards = 5 or 10 times the performance of one.

Who's the one trying to creep out of anything?

Wester: I like bananas.
Paul: Bananas suck, apples are the shit.
Wester: Apples are OK, I'd need 2 of them to reach the quality of one banana.
Paul: Dude, you've lost it.
Wester: Errr... OK, I'd need 5-10 apples to make up one banana.
Paul: Are you serious?
Wester: What?
Paul: Less than two bananas are worth one apple.
Wester: But if you take two applies, and then you have ten bananas, then it would...
Paul: No it fucking doesn't stop trying to creep outta it.
Mr.Jazz: o stop it, he was exaggerating, of course it doesnt mean that,
Spineless: carots.

I may have lost it, but it seems all exchanges between Paul and Wester follow the above-written pattern.

So, uh, let's all chill.

What about mangos god dammit!

No enough of that, the entire discussion was dumb in the first place. WHO CARES whether or not it does or does not, in a couple years better ones come out anyway with 5 - 10x performance.

ever think about what the heatsinks are gonna look like on those thinga? i mean years back there were video cards that could be left bare, no heatsink needed, and now u see these huge heatsinks and 60mm fans taking up two slots, much older processors could simply go off huge heatsinks, no fan or effecient design, now u can get huge heatsinks with 2 80mm fans or those jet-design/blower fans, will the sound cards have heatsinks we see on video cards in a few years? if u like at high-end surround sound receivers there are some serious heatsinks, and quite a few now with fans, will these be able to be compacted into PCI cards? or perhaps in years to come PCI-X will become the standard on mobos, and will have 4 or 5 PCI-X slots on the mobo and have amazing sound cards and video cards with enormous heatsinks and components that send information through two slots simultaneously....

or we could all just switch to vapor cooling... but who wants a PC that sounds like their fridge?

Wow!!!! The postings in these forums are becoming more and more colorful and I can't help noticing that most of them originate with 3DFPS's "opinons". Funny I posted a lengthy post with my opinion about your behaviour on this forum and it's miraculously gone. The fact is unlike you, there are people that don't spend every spare second of their life on this forum and come here seldom just to see what's new. Sadly this forum is becoming less and less about what's new and more about what's the newest bickering between 3DPFS and the next guy.
Unless you have anything new or positive to say please keep it to yourself. I'm tired of scrolling throung pages and pages and PAGES of your big ego unraveling before us "lesser humans".

None of the posts on these forums originate from my opinions FFS, no one even pays attention to my posts for the most part. No I don't spend every moment of my life on this damn forum or even on my computer, I'm actually a productive person if you haven't noticed so get out of your slut and wake up... GOD. You really need to learn some respect cause you're fucking pissing me off and really dancing on my nerves.....it's not my fault that this thread has PAGES OF POSTS, may be it's cause that it's THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS THREAD.

So just SHUT-UP.

One day we'll have quantum computers and there'll be no need for videocards because everything will be able to be rendered via the CPU and threads like this will be obsolete.

Yay!

On a serious note, you'd be surprised: Video cards are advancing much faster and much greater than CPUs are.
