I pirated it a while back but never got around to buying it. TIL NOW. I can finally use multiplayer without ridiculously annoying bypasses.

I did not get the expansion... would you suggest it?

Picked up Thief 1 & 2. Hoping they're as good as people say. Loved the third one.

If you loved the third one, you probably won't like the earlier ones from what I understand.

Any idea why? Game play-wise they seem pretty damn similar, at least according to videos I've seen.

I can deal with the graphics, too.

All I know is fans of the earlier games didn't like the third one, so I figured it worked the other way around too.

Ju picked up the Witcher 2. It was cheap enough so that even if I regret it, it'll still feel worth it.

Regretting Witcher 2?!

Silly Saladin.

Do yourself a favor and play the first one first.

frohman he already tried to and hated it, let him skip it it's not that important

as i understand it thief 3 has actually been embraced by all but the hardcore curmudgeonly fans. it's not considered a classic or anything but i only ever hear it talked about in a positive light these days

Now that you mention it, I think Paul was the one who said he didn't like Thief 3. That probably qualifies as curmudgeon criticism. Maybe Yahtzee too.

Also, I grabbed the first one as well. I will give it another try, but I'm fairly certain I'm going to cheat to get past the boring parts. The second one looks much more interesting.
