the second one's almost certainly the better game, but to be honest i find the first one more interesting. it has more setting and enemy variety. the thief series does the supernatural very well but the second one kind of shied away from that element, mainly for gameplay reasons.

my total haul so far (for the very fair price of zero dollars, thanks to keys that came with my video card that I traded around):

Indie Bundle 1 (Cave Story+, EDGE, The Baconing, Lone Survivor)
Rush
Super Street Fighter 4, Arcade Edition
Mount and Blade Collection
Civ 5, Game of the Year
Metro 2033
Rush
Recettear
Europa Universalis 3: Chronicles
Binding of Isaac pack (gave to KoB)
Ys: The Oath in Felghana

So far, so good!

also as an aside I really didn't like the witcher 1 or 2, something about both games was offputting

I imagine this as a little robot that wanders around and collects bundles of sticks and dumps them at your feet
only white, and stylish, and incompatible with most sticks

I just wanted Terreia for under $2 dollars, and I missed it when it went on sale.
Well next time....
