BloodBorne Commitment

Post by Achilles » Thu Feb 12, 2015 08:24

So I'm going to get the game fairly close to launch if not day of. I feel like we should take advantage of the multiplayer together.

Anyone in?

Isn't the co-op more or less the same sort as Souls? I wouldn't have thought there'd be any way for us to intentionally play together.

Supposedly, systems are in place now to make it easier to play with friends. There are custom soul signs specifically to assist with summoning certain people. Although I have no idea how they work or if they're effective. I've been trying to stay as much in the dark as possible.

I'd be down, in any case. Although it's still like a month until release right?

That's cool. Well, if it's possible I'm all for it, although I don't know what the chances are of our schedules lining up across timezones

And yeah, it's out near the end of March, right alongside Pillars of Eternity

Also, a question to you guys: I don't have PSN, but I really want to do co-op/invade some scrubs in Bloodborne and when the new DS2 edition comes out, would it be worth the (I think) $50 to get a year subscription?

It's mandatory, so it's hard to say whether it's worth it or not.

People have told me they like PS+ though. Free games and such.

I don't want to read anything. I want the game to be a complete surprise. Souls games are best played the first time with no information or guides.

If it's true, I'm totally cool with it. After three of these games plus spinoffs like lords of the fallen, I trust Miyazaki has prepared an interesting game design to mix things up.

I couldn't give less of a shit what /v/ or reddit thinks. They're idiots.

Yep. How many weapons there are is just a factoid. Without knowing the thought process that led to that choice or how it sits with the rest of the game, it doesn't even mean anything.

I know for a fact that there are more than 6 weapons, and they ALL have transformations so it's all good.

But fuck me, I LOVE loot and I know DaS isn't about that, but it was still nice seeing a Black Knight in DaS drop a Black Knight Halberd. What I'm getting is that loot was still a part, and if BB doesn't have that, then it'll be somewhat disappointing. Just my opinion.

Then again, I was disappointed in The Witcher not having loot and it turned out to be one of my favorite RPGs ever. So BB will still be amazing.
