How old are you, and how old do you feel?

I turned 26 last month and I feel like a kid. I know how to do grown up things but I feel like I laugh and joke A LOT, and sometimes don't have emotional strength/maturity.

I'm 27, and I still play Super Smash Bros. competitively.

I can't say I've grown up very much, I don't really feel like an adult. But I definitely don't physically feel like a kid anymore. Exercise is more difficult, health problems are on the horizon, etc. And I have responsibilities to take care of.

It seems to me like, other than taking on serious responsibilities, like raising a kid or taking on a difficult career, no one ever really "grows up." They just become bitter, boring or worn out. They wear this "adult" mask to make up for it, like they've become very serious people. But those are some of the most immature people I've ever met.

30, still feel like I'm in my early 20's. I think I'll always feel this way, who knows. (college life kinda feeling)

Kinda in the same boat as Salad, don't really feel like an "adult" but I have more responsibilities than childhood obviously. The only thing I think that makes me more "mature" is financial responsibility but the rest, eh idk. I still am a sarcastic brat most of the time and troll and elicit responses out of people on purpose just for the sake of doing it, which isn't very "adult" like, but I don't tend to care about a whole lot honestly. I tend to laugh and make fun of shit I'm not supposed to but that's subjective. I'd rather laugh at something than mope about it I guess.

I think part of it does come into play when you have kids or something but I still see "parents" act more idiotic than I do at my worst moments so I can't really make a fair statement on that. I think everyone is winging it on the same playing field but we try and pretend there's some great answer out there to all our problems when there really isn't. We make choices, things happen, we wake up the next morning and do it again.

I'll be 32 at the end of the month. I feel like an adult, but I do make sure I have time for fun. Been going back to school to help improve myself. I wanna be able to be comfortable in the future. I do also want a family in the future, but for now it's just work, video games, and banging pornstars from TLC.

Shit, it's pretty cool that we all stuck around this long.

Coming up on 15 years now. I've spent more time as a member of this forum than I haven't. I can't say that about many things in my life.

i'm 24 and don't really feel like i've "grown up", but i also think the notion of growing up is bullshit anyway. i mean yeah i have more responsibilities, but i don't think playing video games or collecting comic books is any less adult-like than, shit i dunno, sewing a quilt or watching jeopardy reruns on an old antennae tv. like saladin said it basically just means you're boring. if growing up means slaving away 60 hours a week at a job to make ends meet just for those slivers of fun then you all have my permission to blow my brains out. i don't want to be an adult. i genuinely hope in 20 years i'm still actively engaged in my hobbies. my long term goal is to make enough money that i can do the things i want without worrying about whether i can pay the bills that month.

In terms of growing up, I feel like I'm a grown up who wishes they were a kid. I worry about money and groceries and shit, have to save up and be really smart and strict if I want to buy like video games or clothes or anything. I miss being 14 and having a part time job and spending my money on anything I want instead of having to spend it all on rent, food, bills, etc. When I do the things I enjoy, I act like a full on kid. But my thoughts on the inside about what concerns me now at this age are pretty grownup. Guess that's life... that long term goal of yours KOB is the same as mine. I don't care what I do as a job, I just want to make enough money to enjoy things and not worry.

I find that it's easier to be ok with being bored now though. Not having new video games or whatever is ok. I can watch Netflix and get high and get buttfucked and that's satisfactory.....
