I'm all for this.

Blizzard have made it clear that each race's campaign in SC2 will be big enough to be a single-player game in it's own right. They're not going to resemble the campaigns from the first game. As they've said, it was either this, a huge delay, or a scaling back of the single-player. What this is is basically an extremely poorly worded way of saying the game will have two expansions and that the campaigns are structured very differently from the first game's.

From the sounds of it they've got big plans for the singleplayer. I'm actually starting to look forward to SC2 because of this.

see, if I believed that I would be all for it

but I don't want to get all excited and then it turn out that the single player isn't as big as I thought and be disappointed if i buy it

so i will continue to laugh and be somewhat angry until i play it

Well, that's your business.

Bottom line is Blizzard doesn't need the money - or any game besides WoW, come to that - and no part of me believes they would do this if they were lying about their plans for the story.

EDIT: although it must be said that considering you thought Bioshock was too short I find it very likely that SC2's singleplayer won't be as long as you expect even if you did believe this

Each race's campaign will be as long as all three campaigns were in the original SC.

hmm okay i'm sold thats a lot of god damn missions

but still $150? thats just a little overpriced if you ask me since multiplayer is like half the game so youre getting like... 50% of the game only.

Have they actually said $150, though? I got the impression the subsequent games would be priced as expansion packs.

But will multiplayer be finished in the first one? If not I'm just gonna wait and get them all at the same time I guess

You'll be able to play all races with all the units in the first release. The two expansions might add new units like you'd expect an expansion to do, but yes, the initial release will have complete multiplayer.
