Portal Forums day

Post by Paul » Thu Aug 25, 2005 21:52

I'm thinking about holding a Portal Forums day (what's that?) well it's a day when all the members get on at a certain time and see if we can bring down the server.

Got a few steps to do first, remove all non-active members, then perform a mail drop letting everyone know of it.

In the mean time we need a good date and time for everyone.

Wow look at all the members we have now, I'm sure it used to be about 1500 or something :P.

The time is 8:31 AM. The train leaves at 8:30 OH SHIT I'M LATE

I can be online any time between about 6 PM and 9 AM (+9.30 GMT), just about any day. Except Thursday, which is about 10 PM to 9 AM instead.

Bahaha 360 registered users... how ironic

Hmm, I suppose you were fan of this idea after all.

Well, this is certainly a band wagon I'll jump on! :)

OK the date will be the 28th, that's Sunday.

Looking at 21:00 - 00:00 UTC.

That's 22:00 - 01:00 BST.
17:00 - 20:00 for those in New York.
14:00 - 17:00 for those in LA.
06:30 - 09:30 Monday morning for the Random Arhchaan.

Good, bad or what?

I'm moving back over to college on Sunday, so at 2100 UTC/GMT I'll still be in the car driving over there. Not sure what would be a good time since I won't be guaranteed internet access that day as it is, but if I can't get on I'll do my best to play catch-up.

Start time http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... 1=0&sort=2

We'll need some topics to discuss too, don't want everyone hear being silent.
