Gamercard support

Post by Paul » Sat Nov 19, 2005 23:43

The forums now support Gamercards. 8) All you have to do is enter your Gamertag (the name) into the Gamertag line on your user profile.

Pro: You get to see your gamercards.

Cons: I've locking things back to BBlite, the ranks look terrible on the other skins why didn't somebody tell me. And it'll be loads of work to sort them about. Bla bla enough demand etc etc.

It's kind of bulky, isn't it? Sort of pushes everything to one side. I'm guessing there's no way to reduce the size of the gamertag thingoes?

The size is fixed for now, technically it should be possible to pull the values off the Xbox site and then apply our own styling, but I'll have to look into that a bit. I'd rather it be a bit narrower.

I have however fixed a bug on the boards where having a large image in the post would push everything off the page (like a lot of people's signatures).

I can't get one, you need to be 18 to get an account. :(

No, you actually don't. I'm only 16, (to be 17 in less than a month though) and I have an account.

Don't worry. This actually worked out for me. I tried to make the card in the past, and said I was below 18 :( . Called Microsoft and they said that was the problem. They told me to make a new email and say I was older (they didn't care so go ahead)

I was kind of bummed that I had to make a new email but it all worked out cause I started my new gmail account! :)

If anybody wants, I can send them an invite. So if you said you were below 18 it wont work.

Well, first I wrote that my birth year was 1988 and then it said that I were to young so I just thought that I could change it to 1987. So I followed the steps one more time but this time it said that I were to young even before I came to the age vertification. :?

Oh and I took the option "create a new acocunt" when it asked for passport.

Alright a few things are starting to bug me.

If you don't have a Gamertag - don't fill anything into the box! There's a few of you doing it and it b0rks stuff up.
